REACTA would like to extend its condolences to Susan Popovich in the loss of her beloved mother Mary who passed away May 13, 2012 at the age of 94.  Cards may be sent to Susan at her home in Santa Fe, NM.

Region 2 Spring Luncheon (Baja/south) will be held in the Fresno/Visalia/Bakersfield area.  That luncheon will be held in Fresno on May 14 - time and location to be determined.  It is being coordinated by Dick Sawtelle.  Check the Calendar of Events Page for address, as specifics will be posted as soon as received, as well as the date and location of the Region 2 "north" luncheon which is being coordinated by Peg Butler.

Region 3 Spring Luncheon will be held May 10, 2012 at Geezers Restaurant in Santa Fe Springs.  Starting at 11:30 am and going until we've exhausted all the catching up.  See the Calendar of Events Page for address.  Region 4 members are welcome to attend as well.  Stayed tuned for more dates for the other regions.

Dick Falls, 75 of Kingsburg, CA passed away March 20, 2012.  Dick was in sales and marketing for California Teachers Association.  Services will be held at a later.  Arrangements are through the Dopkins Funeral Chapel in Dinuba, CA.

Who We Are:

The Retired Employees Association of the California Teachers Association (REACTA) is a volunteer organization made up of retirees of the CTA and many of its affiliates.  Members statewide include associate, professional, managerial, supervisory, confidential, spouses/domestic partners of eligible members who are recipients of the CTA Employees' Retirement Benefits Plan and/or direct (not dependent) benefits from the CTA Employees' Health and Welfare Benefits Trust.


    Purpose:

  • To support, protect and enhance the California Teachers Association (CTA) Employees' Retirement Benefits Plan and the CTA Employees' Health and Welfare Benefits Plan.
  • To communicate with members on  matters of interest.
  • To perform tasks, functions, and activities as determined by the membership.
  • To provide social contact between members.
