Sadly we share the passing of another REACTA member, Ruth Chisholm, who passed away on May 14, 2018.  Ruth's family plans to hold a service in North Carolina.  Condolences/cards may be sent to Ruth's daughter, Stephanie Englehaupt at 617 Sylvan Ave., San Mateo, CA  94403.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Juanita Peterson (mom to Lisa Longabaugh).  Juanita's career was in the Lancaster CTA office where she retired in 1990 and moved to Tehachapi.  Juanita passed away peacefully on May 3, 2018.  There are no services, but condolences may be sent to daughter, Lisa Longabaugh.

Who We Are:

The Retired Employees Association of the California Teachers Association (REACTA) is a volunteer organization made up of retirees of the CTA and many of its affiliates.  Members statewide include associate, professional, managerial, supervisory, confidential, spouses/domestic partners of eligible members who are recipients of the CTA Employees' Retirement Benefits Plan and/or direct (not dependent) benefits from the CTA Employees' Health and Welfare Benefits Trust.


    Purpose:

  • To support, protect and enhance the California Teachers Association (CTA) Employees' Retirement Benefits Plan and the CTA Employees' Health and Welfare Benefits Plan.
  • To communicate with members on  matters of interest.
  • To perform tasks, functions, and activities as determined by the membership.
  • To provide social contact between members.
