It's that time again -
REACTA's upcoming Annual Meeting October 4-6, 2016 at the Cambria Pines Lodge in Cambria, CA.  Click here for file with information and registration form (to be returned to Art McLaughlin).

REACTA received a message that member Joyce Brook's husband Perry, suddenly passed away from a hear issue.  We don't have service information yet, but condolences can be sent to Joyce at 19695 E. 50th Ave., Denver, CO 80249.

REACTA is sad to share that Sharon Barry passed away unexpectedly on May 19th. Her memorial service will be August 7, 2016 at noon at Miller/Knox Regional Park in Pt. Richmond (900 Dornan Drove. Richmond, CA.  The area is called Sea Gull.

The Retired Employees Association, California Teachers Association (REACTA) is very pleased to announce the offering of up to four (4) college scholarships, each one in the amount of $1000, for the school year beginning Summer, 2016.  See the Member to Member page for additional information and link to download application form.

REACTA received an email from member Diane Ross with input regarding the recent Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield cyber attack.  Click on the News, Reports & Links tab for her message and a file with info from the New York Times.

Yesterday the CTA Health and Welfare Trust emailed the attached communications regarding the

Who We Are:

The Retired Employees Association of the California Teachers Association (REACTA) is a volunteer organization made up of retirees of the CTA and many of its affiliates.  Members statewide include associate, professional, managerial, supervisory, confidential, spouses/domestic partners of eligible members who are recipients of the CTA Employees' Retirement Benefits Plan and/or direct (not dependent) benefits from the CTA Employees' Health and Welfare Benefits Trust.


  • To support, protect and enhance the California Teachers Association (CTA) Employees' Retirement Benefits Plan and the CTA Employees' Health and Welfare Benefits Plan.
  • To communicate with members on  matters of interest.
  • To perform tasks, functions, and activities as determined by the membership.
  • To provide social contact between members.
